Hey, how's it goin'? If you're listening to this, I'm either in the kitchen stuffing my face or off doing something awesome. And by "awesome" I mean "stupid and dangerous". But it's still awesome. Anyway, you should know how this works. Drop me a line and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm done.

Oh and uh... if the name "Haven" means anything to any of you guys, let me know in the message, okay? Please. [BEEP]

[Rin stares at him unblinking for a few seconds longer, before her gaze shifts coldly to a hinge in the doorjamb.]

...I see.

[Her voice is chillingly calm. That's an easier thing to fake, of course, when you keep your reply to two mono-syllabic words. If she said more, Rin suspects her voice would have cracked; can feel the sob in the back of her throat.

"Someone I know. Or who knows me, at least."

Why? Why is she so upset? Why did those words make it all feel worse? It brings to mind the glass flower she saw in the treehouse, and how cold she felt looking at it. Just a pretty little knick-knack she made on a whim, a few months ago. How it got there, she has no idea.

Somehow, she thinks she can relate to Wade's sentiment, but in reverse.

She feels like she's going crazy. Does Wade feel like he's going crazy too? The sob in her throat turns into a mirthless giggle. No, for him it wouldn't be that simple; it's the same mistake that made her come to him. She knows (without understanding) from being bonded with Wade months ago that, like the gaps in his memories, for him that's just a constant.

He's a lot stronger than she is, in some ways. This nagging feeling isn't the only thing weighing on her heart, but Rin doesn't think she could spend every day questioning her own brain like this.]

You should wear it, then. [She says dully, looking back up at him with a face wiped from expression.] Knitting a sweater takes a long time. A lot of heart and feeling must have gone inside of it.

It would be careless to throw it away.
