Not really. It's pretty straightforward. You probably wanna actually use less water next time-- only up to, like... halfway as opposed to filling up almost the whole thing.
One of the annoying things I've noticed is that these kettles tend to boil over so that the water spurts out of the whistle and goes everywhere. Not really all that dangerous, but it does make one heck of a mess.
